I rather like the Starcluster4 Setting book: it has a good amount of available detail you can use to build up a world, including architecture and music, the preferred subjects for local chatter and the economic focus of the world. “Adds flavour!”
But what I really like is the detailing the book offers for a particular company – the PCs, or someone else’s.
- Capitalization (how many resources are available),
- The nature of the company (from trading to insurance to salvage),
- How the company is structured (cooperative, individually financed, criminally funded…)
- The home base (from a small dock on an icy rock on a wildly eccentric orbit, to a corporate factory on an industrialized world, to…)
All those details that are easily forgotten by the Referee, this book can bring to light!
