This shouldn’t really be true: Traveller is about far more than watching your players suddenly Get It.
And of course, most of the time they are just going to pass the Main Point by, or just note it or move on, or (most humiliating) make an even deeper insight that the Referee missed.
(I am not going to grumble about this.)
But it is very gratifying to see the PCs pick up on your hint, grasp the significance, and run with it, reshaping their part of the Traveller Universe to better suit themselves.
(I do believe in rewarding solid insights, and on-the-ball countermoves!)
